Based in Dhaka, Ayesha Sultana received a BFA in Visual Arts (2007) and a Post-graduate Diploma in Art Education (2008) from Beaconhouse National University in Lahore. Her participation in recent solo and group exhibitions include Immateriality in Residue, Experimenter, Kolkata; Approaching Abstraction, Jhaveri Contemporary, Mumbai; 1mile2 Dhaka, Dhaka (2015); Blue Velvet, Galleria Valentina Bonomo, Rome; Ethereal, Leila Heller Gallery, New York; Outside the Field of View, Experimenter, Kolkata; B/Desh, Bangladesh Shilpkala Academy, Dhaka (2014). Sultana is a member of Britto Arts Trust, an artist-run organisation in Dhaka. She was the winner of the 2014 Samdani Art Award and was featured as one of ArtReview’s ‘Future Greats’ in 2015.
