Rose Lejeune


Rose Lejeune is a curator working with both public institutions and private individuals to create artworks that build on and respond to existing collections, with a focus on ephemeral, performative and context-specific work. In addition to this commissioning work, Rose runs Gallery Lejeune, an exclusive exhibition space in a domestic setting. Hinging around a series of events and discussions, the exhibitions exist as intimate and in-depth environments within which to experience artworks.

Rose has extensive experience working with in institutions throughout the UK. Most recently Rose curated a major commission by Richard Wentworth for Art on the Underground. Previous projects include the performance/broadcast project Stop Frame: Process, Experiment and Broadcast in the Peak District landscape, and as Projects Curator at the Serpentine Gallery,she managed Skills Exchange, a series of commissions with artists and older people, and developed the Edgware Road Commissioning programme.
