Kamal Rasool
Kamal Rasool is a musician and occasional artist/photographer, born in Bahrain and currently living in Dubai. As founding member of the London based experimental band Flamingods, half-Turkish and half-Bahraini Rasool splits his time between the UK and the Middle East.
For the past few years Kamal has been expressing his interest in cultural exploration through many different mediums. As well as taking musical inspiration from around the world in his band Flamingods, Kamal also co-founded the food and travel website I’m not a Fiend – which is based around exploring old Dubai, and the clothing label Yama, which makes clothes from textiles collected from markets around the world.
