Alex Baczynski Jenkins


Alex Baczynski Jenkins is a London-based artist working within an expanded choreographic practice. His work develops subtle, queer interventions in public space and describes his recent work as behavioural choreography, an idea that relies on a shared embodied vocabulary.

Baczynski Jenkins has just completed a residency at the Delfina Foundation as part of their Performance as Process programme. Past performances include FEELING REAL, Sophiensaele Theatre, Berlin (2015);Dedication Schwester Schwester, Basel Liste, Basel (2014); Yet, see him through my eyes, X-Apartments, Homeworks, Beirut (2013); and expo zero at Performa (2011). He completed a BA in Contemporary dance, choreography, context at the Universitat der Kunste, Berlin and an MA in Aural and Visual Cultures at Goldsmiths University, London. He participated in Ashkal Alwan’s Home Workspace Program, Beirut.
